Brutalist sideboard 1940
A large oak sideboard, balanced in its angularity and warmth, plays with bevelled edges and others that are left square. Two large side doors reveal an interior entirely lined with deep red paper and gold decorations. The upper shelf is enriched with honeycomb wood decorated with marquetry and inlays. The front of the central section is decorated with raised pyramids, the same motif repeated on the drawer handle.
