Rome Isola Tiberina, Italy
On Isola Tiberina, a place that for centuries has symbolized healing and hospitality, the restoration and interior design project of the historic pharmacy unfolds as a dialogue between memory and contemporaneity. Here, where the tradition of care crosses eras and cultures, every decision begins with listening to the site: preserving its identity, making it legible, and guiding it toward a renewed present.
The intervention integrates architecture, furnishings, and communication into a unified vision. Display elements in burnished brass, travertine, and glass reinterpret the historic language with a discreet, tactile presence.
The layout has been redesigned, and technologies, such as the robotic system for medication management, enter the space naturally: a quiet evolution focused on efficiency while remaining attentive to the human value of the experience.
Light becomes a narrative tool. Illuminated shelves, wooden ceilings, and reflective surfaces create depth and rhythm, enhancing existing materials and guiding the gaze without imposition.
Alongside the new design, the conservation work restores centrality to historic elements: the walnut counter with marble top, the flooring, windows, and decorative features. Not relics, but living presences. The project does not overlay history; it clarifies it through contemporary details such as frescoed niches and illuminated brass profiles.

The exterior also becomes part of the story. The restoration of the travertine, the restyling of the signage, and the new lighting transform the pharmacy into a luminous threshold open to the city.
The reorganization of service areas , storage, galenic laboratory, and staff spaces , completes an intervention focused not only on image but on the daily functioning of care.
At the same time, the brand identity is renewed: logo, color palette, website, and photographic campaign. Physical space and communication speak the same language.
Today, Farmacia Isola Tiberina presents itself as a bridge between past and future. Not simply a restoration, but a process of interpretation and transformation that restores continuity to a millenary tradition, making visible a contemporary vision of the pharmacy as a cultural, social, and human place.
